The Professional Remodeling Organization (PRO) Metro DC Names BOLT Builders a 2026 PRO Remodeler of the Year Winner
Washington, DC — February 11, 2026 — The Professional Remodeling Organization (PRO) Metro DC named BOLT Builders, in Washington, DC, as a PRO Remodeler of the Year winner in the four categories: New Custom Home Under 4500 Sq. Ft., Residential Interior Over $500,000, Entire House Over $750,000, and Residential Addition Under $250,000, of its annual awards competition at their PRO Remodeler of the Year Awards Gala on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Gaithersburg, MD.

Winners of the PRO Remodeler of the Year Awards represent the best remodeling work in the Metro DC area. The Awards, judged by remodeling professionals outside of the area, are based on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, and degree of difficulty.

Our clients wanted a home built for entertaining, but their small Cape Cod house couldn’t meet that demand, and the narrow, deep lot presented both challenges and opportunities. We demolished the original 2,990 sq. ft. home and built a 3,132 sq. ft. two-story residence, blending a modern interpretation of a classic Colonial Foursquare with thoughtful, functional vintage inspired spaces.
The project required meticulous craftsmanship to create custom features like built-in bookshelves, an open living room with inverted tray ceiling and chandelier, a second-floor wet bar and lounge area, and a butler’s pantry.

These beautiful rooms are the interiors to the home we built above. Featuring bold colors from Farrow & Ball Paint and House of Hackney Wallpaper, these interiors are just as beautiful as the outside of the home.
Entire House Renovation

Our clients found their dream home location, with a backyard view of their country club’s golf course. However the 1960s split level home was far from their dream home. With a background in designing interiors of luxury hotels, our client knew she wanted a home that gave the same feeling of comfort and hospitality as the spaces she created.
We designed and built this house, turning the split level home into a modern open concept. Now compelte with a four season room, color drenched dining room, home office, and wet bar, this home is now worthy of the golf course view.
Residential Addition
Merit Award
Our clients loved their home, but it was missing one thing: optimal storage. They had no front closet and only a small pantry, leaving coats and bags over piling a single coat rack and limited kitchen storage. So we built an addition with a mudroom and spacious pantry that connected to the garage. Now the family has plenty of storage and a dedicated drop zone for coats and backpacks.
Each year PRO Metro DC presents these coveted awards to members who have demonstrated outstanding craftsmanship, design and professionalism through their remodeling projects. The entries of this year’s competition totaled more than 53 million in remodeling investments, spanning mid-range and high-end projects, as diverse as new build homes to Universal Design baths to kitchen remodeling projects.
