Fruit-Infused Lemonade

Nothing says summer quite like a glass of fruit-infused lemonade. Tart, sweet, and bursting with fresh flavors, this homemade lemonade is simple to make and easy to customize. Today, I’m sharing my go-to base lemonade recipe, plus two fruity variations: Orange-Infused Lemonade and Strawberry-Infused Lemonade. Both are perfect for backyard BBQs, pool days, or just sipping on the porch.

Fruit Infused Lemonade

Serves:  6-8 | Prep Time: 10 Minutes | Infusion Time: 1 – 2 Hours

Lemonade Base

  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice (about 3–4 lemons)

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 6 cups cold water

  • Optional: 6-8 basil or mint leaves

Directions

  • In a pitcher, combine the lemon juice and sugar (optional: and basil or mint leaves). Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.

  • Add the cold water and stir to combine. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as needed.

  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving, or serve immediately over ice.

Orange Infused Lemonade

Add a sunny, citrusy twist to your classic lemonade with oranges.

  • Classic lemonade base (from above)

  • 1–2 oranges, thinly sliced

  • Optional: extra sugar or honey to taste

Directions

  • Add the orange slices to the chilled lemonade.

  • Let it infuse in the fridge for 1–2 hours for a stronger orange flavor.

  • Serve over ice with a slice of orange for garnish.

Strawberry Infused Lemonade

Sweet, juicy strawberries make this lemonade extra refreshing and naturally pink!

  • Classic lemonade base (from above)

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

  • Optional: 1–2 tsp sugar if strawberries are tart

Directions

  1. Add the sliced strawberries to the lemonade. For a stronger flavor, mash a few slices gently with a spoon.

  2. Chill for 1–2 hours to allow the flavors to infuse.

  3. Serve over ice with fresh strawberry slices for garnish.

Tips for the Perfect Fruit-Infused Lemonade

  • Use fresh fruit: Freshly squeezed juice and fresh fruit slices give the brightest flavors.

  • Infuse longer for stronger flavor: Let the fruit sit in the lemonade for a few hours or overnight in the fridge.

  • Mix it up: Try combinations like lemon-orange-strawberry or add a few mint leaves for extra freshness.

  • Sweeten to taste: Depending on your fruit and personal preference, you may want to add more sugar or honey.

  • Serve cold: Always serve over ice or chilled for the ultimate refreshing experience.
