6 Ways to Turn Your Backyard Into the Ultimate Game Day Watch Party

1. The Setting
Do all the dirty work to make your outdoor space shine. Pressure wash the deck or patio, air out the furniture, and blow off the leaves. You’ll be surprised how a little elbow grease makes the area so much more welcoming.
2. Comfy Seating and the TV
You and your guests need comfortable places to sit where they can easily see the screen. Arrange outdoor couches around a wall-mounted TV. Or put Adirondack chairs (with cushions and blankets available) in the yard, facing a projector screen if you want to go big! A mix of various seating options allows guests to find a place where they feel most comfortable.
3. Great Sound
Use good outdoor speakers connected wirelessly, or a soundbar to boost your TV’s sound, to ensure that everyone can hear. If you have portable speakers, you can place them around the area for an immersive, surround-sound experience.
4. Set Up Activities
Believe it or not, your guests might not want to watch the whole game. Give them options to get up and move around a little if they want to. You can set up yard games like corn hole, bocce ball, or horseshoes. Or put a few chairs around the fire pit and make a s’mores station.
