Game day is about more than just football, it’s about gathering friends, sharing laughs, and, of course, indulging in food that’s as memorable as the plays on the field. While the classics like chips and dip will always have their place, the right lineup of snacks, bites, and drinks can turn your watch party into an experience worth cheering for. From crowd-pleasing comfort foods to creative sips that keep the energy high, game day menus can be both fun and elevated. Think bold flavors, easy-to-grab servings, and dishes that invite everyone to dig in without missing a moment of the action. Here are our team’s top pick for hosting your next game day event.
Justin: Old Bay Wing are my go to! Deep fry them without the skin and add plenty of Old Bay seasoning. Dunk them in a chunky blue cheese dressing and you’re good to go! And my go to drink any game day has to be Frothy IPA (always) – Sierra Nevada hazy little thing.
Justin: My wife makes this amazing 7 layer bean dip. We call it “Beam Dip” in honor of BOLT.
Dustin: Game day you’ll see me making grilled wings with homemade chimichurri. I always use Meat Church Holy Gospel Rub for anything on the grill. You can dunk it in ranch if you’re into that sort of thing. And the best beer to match is Pacifico.
Dustin: For the cooler days I cook up this Mississippi Potroast. It’s an easy one pot dish but is gone in seconds.
Dustin: It’s cheap but great and easy to make. And it’s always a crowd pleaser.
Suzette: Everyone brings wings and chips so I like to go for sides that are a little different for some variety. I love Hawiian Roll Ham and Cheese sliders with a dijon mustard sauce and Loaded Baked Potato Salad. I don’t drink so I skip on the beer and go for a ginger beer mocktail or a Raspberry Dream dirty soda.
Kevin: I am simple – any and all chips, beer, pizza, wings make the best game day snacks.
Paul: I like Homemade Guacamole and salsa. It goes well with cold beer. Grilled dogs, burgers, and wings are classics.
Gigi: My favorite is delicious cheese fries, enjoyed at my local watering hole, paired with a cold beer.
Daniel: Bang Bang Shrimp is where it’s at. Also wings, and you can’t go wrong with some loaded nachos as well.
Eli:
No matter which team comes out on top, great hosting means your guests leave happy, full, and already looking forward to the next kickoff. By mixing a few reliable favorites with inventive treats and refreshing drinks, you create a spread that’s every bit as exciting as the game itself. After all, football may bring people together—but it’s the food and drinks that keep them gathered around your table long after the final whistle.
