Woodlawn

Custom New Build

Introducing our Woodlawn project. Our clients wanted a home built for entertaining, but their small Cape Cod house couldn’t meet that demand, and the narrow, deep lot presented both challenges and opportunities. We domolished the original home and built a two story home in it’s place. The project required meticulous craftsmanship to create custom features like a two-story deck with outdoor fireplace and pizza oven, built-in bookshelves, an open living room with inverted tray ceiling and chandelier, a second floor wet bar and lounge are, an a butler pantry.  Bold paint colors from Farrow and Ball, House of Hackney wallpaper, and custom finishes complete the space, giving the family a functional, stylish home designed for years of living and entertaining.

AWARD WINNING HOME

We are honored this project was awarded two PRO Remodeler of the Year Awards:

Grand Award for Custom New Home

Exterior

From Capecod to Cocktail Hour

We demolished the original 2,990 sq. ft. home and built a 3,132 sq. ft. two-story residence, blending a modern interpretation of a classic Colonial Foursquare with thoughtful, functional spaces.

Outdoor Living

A true showstopper, the two-story deck serves as one of the crowning jewels of the home. Anchored by a dramatic masonry chimney, the space is built for entertaining at any scale, featuring a wood-fired pizza oven, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, overhead heaters, and motorized Phantom screens that allow seamless indoor-outdoor living year round.

Primary Suite

The first-floor bedroom is modest in size but rich in style. House of Hackney wallpaper and a statement chandelier set a dramatic tone, while a barn door leads to the custom closet and the vintage inspired primary bathroom. The bathroom features walls with herringbone tile and Farrow & Ball Light Blue paint, a vintage inspired freestanding tub, mirrors, elegant fixtures, a water closet, and a sleek shower, blending functionality with timeless, sophisticated finishes.

A Kitchen for the Hostess with the Mostess

As an avid baker and cook, the homeowner envisioned a kitchen that could keep pace with her culinary ambitions and her bespoke aesthetic. The result is a space that balances beauty with high-functioning practicality, built for everyday use and effortless entertaining.

Custom cabinetry seamlessly conceals a lazy Susan, trash and recycling bins, and neatly organized cutlery divers, while top-of-the-line Viking appliances will perform for years to come.

A butler’s pantry extends the kitchen’s capacity, offering discreet storage for appliances and prep space, so entertaining remains effortless and elegant.

Spaces to Entertain: Wet Bar

This lounge and wet bar is the perfect area for entertaining. Complete with custom cabinetry, bar fridge, floating shelves, and sink this is a great new space for the homeowner to spend a relaxing evening with their guest.

Living Room

The client envisioned a dramatic inverted tray ceiling and chandelier suspended from the 20′ ceilings. To achieve this safely, we engineered an inverted tray ceiling with additional structural reinforcement, carefully calculating load distribution to prevent sagging or failure over time.

This required close collaboration between our design team as well as exact installation. The inverted chandelier now hangs as a show-stopping focal point, in the open living room.
