Pantry & Mudroom Renovation
Introducing our Fairmont project. Our clients purchased a home they loved. They were excited their new hom, but they soon realized that the extra space wasn’t functional for their family. Lacking a front closet and kitchen storage, we built an addition with a mudroom and pantry that connected to the garage to give them the storage they desired.
We are honored to share this project received a PRO Remodler of the Year Award:
Merit Award for Residential Addition
One of the main pain points was the kitchen pantry and lack of storage in their entry way. The pantry was very small, and there was no front closet, so they had to rely on a coat rack as a drop zone. The family knew they needed more storage room. That’s where our team came in.
We worked with Lee Design Architects to build our clients a gorgeous, large pantry that is off the side of the kitchen. This space is functional and stylish—just what the family wanted. And it connects to a new mudroom with access to the garage. Both come with plenty of storage.
The pantry includes lovely walnut countertops and open shelving that look great with matching blue checkerboard flooring and blue cabinets. A small sink adds to the functionality, and glass front cabinets display the clients’ dish collection. Two appliance garages flip open to house baking appliances and the coffee maker when not in use.
With no original front closet, our clients were relying on a small coat rack to hold all their coats, back packs, and more. The new mudroom now acts as the perfect drop zone without sacrificing organization. Complete with overhead cubbies, coat racks, a bench, and shoe cubbies, now the family has a dedicated drop zone.
